It is located in the village of Bjørnfjell. The church is part of the Bjerkvik parish in the Ofoten deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white, wooden chapel was built in 1952 in the rural Bjørnfjell area just west of the border with Sweden.
